Case Study: Sol y Sombra
A case study on our branding for tapas bar Sol y Sombra, and how a solid identity helped successfully launch the bar in a competitive area.
Sol y Sombra’s owners approached us before the relaunch of their Spanish-themed bar and kitchen, with the intention to add personality and distinction to their restaurant from the first day.
The bar was being completely redeveloped so a high quality, well executed brand identity was required to carry the distinctive look throughout the wide range of materials required.
Regular meetings with the client ensured the project progressed in a direction that suited them best, as well as fittng in with the physical aesthetic of the bar itself.
Furthermore getting to know the client meant we could really add personality to the brand, with Ernest Hemingway quotes, a bull fighting theme and other elements which delivered a more personal feel to the project as a whole.
We delivered a logo design and established a visual identity that was later rolled out to create various marketing collateral, posters, exterior signage and day-to-day operational documents.
