Meet Richard, director here at Creative Graffix, and the head honcho around the studio. He talks over how we became Creative Graffix in the first place and why going from franchise to independent is such a good move.
It’s been a busy 6 months under our new name of Creative Graffix! Last October we made the break from the KallKwik franchise (which our family have been in for 25 years) to move the business forward as an independent graphic design & print specialist: and its safe to say we’ve never looked back!
Being independent gives us a far greater flexibility, not only in the prices we charge now, but also in being able to do smaller print runs and investing in new equipment to ensure we can do a huge range of high quality jobs in-house with very quick turn-around times for clients.
We’ve expanded the range of exhibition & event materials that we can provide and invested in two really great websites: to show off the exhibition & display items we supply and also a brilliant site which is just for promotional goods. People can browse round these sites, add items to compare costs & features and ask us for several quotes before they make up their mind!
We’re also working closely with several local businesses on their graphic design – we’ve recently done some rebranding work, created a new logo & start-up pack (Headed Paper, Business cards etc) for a new business and have been able to offer a design placement to a local University student who was looking for practical experience and has been a very welcome extra pair of hands for the team.
We’re exploring the world of social media to promote the business and I’ve also been getting more involved with the Dundee & Angus Chamber as a Director. I hope to see you at an event soon – remember to say hello!
